Description
This is the drawing steps of my artwork below
========
Steps:
1. Sketch. Sketch the pose and composition. I like to keep my sketch messy and loose so I can fix the mistakes and improvise when lining.
2. Lineart. I use Mapping Pen brush from MangaStudio (size 10-15 in A4 300dpi canvas).
3. Base Color. Fill in base color on separated layers.
4. Shading. I shade (with 1 shading colors) on new layer above the base colors. After that I lock the layer then add another darker color. Above the shading layer sometimes I add multiply layer to give gradient.
5. Another Shading. I add multiply layer on character, fill it with shadow colors (in this case was red-brown) then erase it little by little to accent where the light comes from.
6. Lighting + Glow + Finishing. Add glow, overlay, texture and other special effects. I just keep adding something until either I satisfied or getting tired with it. The last step was always color adjustment (color balance and level).
*throughout the steps, I often fix some mistake + adjust the hue, saturation, and luminosity.
Software: MangaStudio EX 5
Drawing Tablet: Genius G-Pen F509
I hope it's useful <3
